Welcome to Adf.ly Basics.
If you are new to Adf.ly or just need some tips in order to help boost your Adf.ly earnings, you have come to the right place.   Adf.ly is a link shortening service similar to tinyurl.com which shortens a link such as http://news.google.com/nwshp?hl=en&tab=wn into http://adf.ly/4rpL0.

This service not only makes it easier for you to post your links, but also pays you for everyone that clicks on it.  Currently Adf.ly pays up to $.050 to $4.00 for 1000 clicks of your link.

You maybe thinking "$.050 that's only pennies", or "how can I ever get 1000 clicks on my links."  I'll address those 2 questions below.

1000 clicks?  Sounds impossible!
The main concern with most everyone using Adf.ly is TRAFFIC, and how to get more traffic to click on their links.  This is always a complicated question to answer because as everyone knows, it's not easy to generate your own traffic without a lot of long, hard work.   BUT there are ways where you can USE traffic from other sources.  Another thing to consider is that Adf.ly pays you for up to 5 visits from the SAME PERSON.  This means that if you have 5 links and the person clicks on all of them, you will get paid for all 5 visits!  So, basically, you will not need 1000 people to visit your links as long as you have multiple links for your visitor to click, thus you will need less people to reach that 1000 clicks.  I will list below, several ways to use traffic from other sources to help increase clicks to your Adf.ly links.

Youtube traffic
This is probably the most well-known method to generate Adf.ly traffic.  The easiest method would be to find popular videos that are receiving a lot of views on Youtube.  Download the videos to your computer using one of the many free Youtube downloading sites or software.  Re-upload the videos to your own Youtube account and title it similarly, or as close as possible to the original up loaders title.  This method will get you views for your links posted below the clips, but I will go one step further to help you get the maximum amount of views.

Step 1.  Choose 3-4 videos in a certain genre (example: Breaking News). Download these videos and then re-upload them to your Youtube account, BUT, set only one of those videos to "public", the others set them to "unlisted".  The reason for this is that if ALL of your videos are "public", all one has to do is to check out your channel page and they can watch all of your videos without having to click on any Adf.ly links.
Step 2.  Create Adf.ly links to all of the "unlisted" videos.
Step 3.  Under the "public" video, post a caption like this "Breaking News story #2 etc... and then add your Adf.ly links below the clip.  If your "public" video is popular, you will definitely get views on your other videos, which means you will be getting Adf.ly clicks.
Step 4.  Rinse and repeat steps 1-3 using different videos from different genre (comedy, fails, songs etc)
Step 5.  Now go to your channel page.  On the left column you will be able to add all of your Adf.ly links and descriptions. (use the old channel view, the new one sucks IMO)

If you decide to go the Youtube route, don't just stop with 3-4 videos (one genre).  Try and find as many different genre videos to list.  If you can generate just 100 clicks from your 3-4 "News" videos a day, you can generate 1000 clicks from 10 different other genres, right?

Forum traffic
Another easy method getting traffic from other sources is to post your links on forums, news boards etc.  This is pretty self-explanatory and doesn't need much explaining.

Craigslist traffic
This is probably the FASTEST way to get clicks and traffic.  Now, getting Craigslist traffic is not as easy as just posting your links in ads.  Craigslist has banned the use of Adf.ly in posts.  However, all is not lost because I will show you an easy way to utilize Craigslist and it's millions of views per day.  Popular items can earn 1000's of hits a day during the life of the ad.   My method has worked extremely well and is only limited to the amount of ads you place.  It doesn't take a genius to figure out that if one post can bring you 1000 hits a day then 10 posts can bring you 10,000 hits a day.  Join me below and learn my method of using Craigslist traffic to boost your  Adfly income.

Of course I do not condone posting fake ads on Craigslist, and this is being shown only as an example of how to generate Craigslist traffic to your links.  That being said...

I honestly feel really sorry for people when I see Linkbucks or adf.ly click exchange threads, and useless bots. Here is how to earn a decent automated amount. 
1)How to use YouTube Method properly.
Find some popular, newish videos. Then, go to m.keephd.com and reupload them. Fix up the tags and maybe all [HQ] , High Quality, etc. If you upload about 10 videos, you should get at least 1000 views per video a day. So that's 10 000 views a day. Wait a few days. Then, add a full page annotation on the video, saying 'This video is old and outdated. Please click the link in the description to see the latest. Add your Linkbucks link in the description. This should point back to the video you copied off. Hopefully, 90% of viewers will click on your link. So, out of the 10 000 views a day, you get 9 000 clicks which should amount to about $12 a day. On a large scale, say 100 videos, this is about $120 a day. 
2)Gumtree/Craigslist Method
Go to www.craigslist.org www.gumtree.com List a high priced item like an iPad for an unusually low price. In the description, say that it has a minor problem. Tell them to click your Linkbucks link for more information or a photo. You can say you are selling a Lockerz invite which is redeemable for an iPad/ a rickroll, whatever.:smile:
You will get at least 1000 clicks on your ad a day if you do it right. Post 5 ads, that is 5000 clicks a day.
Remember to post on the US or UK sites, as Linkbucks will pay a lot higher
While there are many ways to get clicks from forums, here is how to get a steady hits from forums with very little work. 
3)Forum Method.
1.Find a few forums which get a decent amount of traffic, but has very little registered users. Forums with download links are a good example, as people don't want to register, they are just there to download things. Now post your Linkbucks link in a small part of the forum. This is so your thread stays up for longer. An example is where it is full of guests and has 1 admin who does nothing.
Remember, this is a slow but automated method. Post several times on many different forums and you will get a steady amount coming in for a while.
4)Facebook Method
Step 1 Create a Facebook page.
Step 2 Name it something catchy, such as:
The secret trick to winning in any fight How to make ANY emo girl like you The top 10 lines to get out of trouble with your parents!
It has to tie in with the idea that users have to "like" your page before seeing a link to the "amazing" content which is a Linkbucks links.
Step 3 Select Local Business then press "create official page".
Step 4 Upload a relevant picture that does NOT give away any of your content.
Step 5 Click on "edit page" beneath your profile pictures and remove all the unnecessary applications.
Step 6 In the search box in the facebook banner, search for "static fbml" and a page should come up, beneath the picture select "add to my page" then click add to page next to where the page you just created is.
Step 7 Get your Linkbucks link that links to your content and shorten it. Put your Linkbucks link into the pale yellow box and then copy it somewhere to use it later on. ***please not if your content contains more than one link, you will need to do this for all your Linkbucks links.
Step 8 Go back to your page and click edit page beneath the picture and you should see a new box under applications called "static fbml" Click edit beneath it and it will take you to a new page. Where it says box title, enter something like "CLICK HERE" and then where it says fbml: copy and paste the following into there but replacing the bold text with what it tells you to put there.

5)Twitter Method
1. Make at least 3 twitter accounts.
You can use your own name but I find it best if you use a girly username, such as RachelRawr Happihayley katiee16.
2. For the display picture, you can either choose your own picture or a scene/emo teenage girl. NEVER choose a cartoon or anything at all without a human face.
3. Then, using Tweet Attacks Free Edition follow 1000 people.
4. Wait 24 hours and using a bot, unfollow everyone who is not following you.
5. Once you have at least 1000 followers and at least 3 accounts, it is time to start tweeting Linkbucks
An example tweet would be:
wow, this band is better than my chemical romance! http://www.sdfsd.linkbucks.com
5. IMPORTANT! Your account may be banned from twitter if you only post Linkbucks links and nothing else! To avoid getting banned, do some tweets without links and rename your Linkbucks to bit.ly if you want to be on the safe side. 
6)Yahoo! Answers Method
This method will get you a small but steady amount of clicks through a website called Yahoo! Answers. What a lot of people don't realise is that Yahoo! Answers has a very high SERP(Search engine ranking position).
1. What you are going to do is stage and answer questions relating to some popular, trending topics. You will need at least 2 Yahoo! Answers accounts, preferably 'Level 2' to avoid your account being flagged as spam.
2. Ask some popular questions, eg:
Where can I watch old episodes of Psych for free online?
How can I get a six-pack fast?
Where can I find mods and maps for [insert random game, eg.starcraft]?
Where can I find a free youtube bot?
Then, find an answer to the question and link it with Linkbucks .
IMPORTANT: Mask your url with http://www.joynic.com and rename it to something like http://www.watchpsychfree.au.tt
Now, answer your own question you posted.
Repeat this cycle a couple more times with different questions.
When people search up 'Watch psych online', they will see your Yahoo! answers question and click on your link. You may not be getting many clicks, but the clicks will keep coming for many years to come.
